Bob Marley's mother Cedella Booker at the interview with Martina Markwart (Germany) at St. Anns, Jamaica, in December '98.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE OF REGGAE MUSIC?"
"I think reggae music is doing its best for the present time.
The future is there to see.
My desire is to see it grow on and on and spread
wider stronger and bigger.
A world without music is- it would be a dead world!
But on the other hand again
there are some music that are more touching!"
"Because if I go into a store there are maybe millions
of records, albums, CDs.
But I am going to choose the ones
that I feel is more enjoyable to me or more meaningful."
"I'm hoping and praying that Reggae will reach many hearts
because reggae music has changed so many people,
the message that Bob has brought to the world."
"I'm sure those people that take the time out
to write to me and to explain to me
the change that has been in their lifes
from Bob's music I don't think they would
do that for nothing.
They mean it, they feel it and thats's why they reveal it."
"So I know that they are really feeling the depths of
his message and I pray and thank Jah for that!"
"Because as Bob say:
"'MY MUSIC HAS GONE ALL OVER THE WORLD AND THOSE WHO DON'T HEAR - I'M SORRY FOR THEM.'
